Hi Chris, would really appreciate an update, thanks a bunch for helping everyone out...greatly appreciated Vin#5TFCZ5AN8GX46B527

Is it common for Toyota to change the estimated date to a later date? Why would this be the case?

Awesome service you give the forum, Chris. Ordered mine 11/21, apparently coming from another dealership's allocation but they say they can't give me a firm delivery date... sometime in December "Likely". VIN: 5T3DFREV3FW377273

    Thanks!

Chris - Wanna locate my sport A/C vin: 5TFRZ5CN5GX004614! It's sked to arrive at the dealer on 11/30.
Am going out of town for three weeks on 12/01. Dealer is 100 miles distant.
Any assistance is VERY much appreciated.

I 2nd this. I'm sure this is way more than anyone would bargain for. Like they say "No good deed goes unpunished". Thanks Chris for all you have provided but please take this opportunity to stand down. It's not your responsibility to track the vehicles of the entire Tacoma internet population. It's sad this is a problem to begin with. Thanks for the effort you have provided, it has been priceless to many.

I would not say that waiting for vehicles in 2015 for a redesigned 2016 vehicle is bad service.... IMHO, it is to be expected.

He's probably off for turkey day. I wouldn't be worried yet. He's already said he will continue to do this.

Generally speaking I would agree with you. Unfortunately it's not just the wait, it is the inconsistency and lack of available information. It's also regional. For example, here in the Southeast it appears the information available is less than what others might have access to. I "now" have a dealer that is very willing to provide information to me but what they have shared with me has been very limited in nature. Much less than provided here. On top of that, there are also dealers not willing to provide the available information and would rather work on other deals than to cater to customers that are waiting in the wings.

In my case, I'm turning in a lease on 12/5 and have a vehicle expected to be available on 12/7. A slip in that date means I need a rental or make other plans depending on how long it might be. In my field I have to measure my deliverables in milliseconds. Having estimates that are within a week seems more than reasonable but unfortunately not accurately readily available.

Chris has provided detail above what appears to be available in my area and has shown dedication to his customers beyond what I have experienced. I'm glad that he has provided the information he has and welcome him to step back from this thread because although it was started with good intentions it is not his responsibility. IMO, a corporate Toyota representative should work to improve the customer communication or create their own TW account and provide similar detail.

    Kenny
