Ive got one. I've got a paddle tire on it full time now though for the dunes by my house or glamis. It makes me to tired to trail ride for 4+ hours. Ive got a 250f for everything but sand. Im currently looking to do a newer frame swap to put this motor in though. Something 04 or newer.

Nice! This is my 2001. I also had 2 1994's but i sold them about 4 years ago. I kept this one because its the last year of production by Honda. It's a low hour bike and all original except for the exhaust.

It's home built and so will the next one. :D Im going to send the motor off to have it all spiced up so i wont really have to touch it after it's in the new frame. i ride it maybe once a month, if even that because i keep breaking head stay mounts from the vibrations.
Looks super clean man. A friend of mine has a 2001 as well. Pretty beat up but it still is an awesome bike. They bought it new in 01 and still havent even replaced the top end or anything like that. These bikes are frickin tanks if you ask me.

My kind of a dirt bike. I try to to dirt bike things with it haha

At some point I'll be getting some nicer dirt tires for the 18/21's I have in the garage. The stock dirt tires were terrible.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
Grew up on 50cc dirtbikes. Had a Suzuki DR 125 for a few years. Moved up to a Honda CRF 250. Now I want a KTM. Only thing I can't decide is do I go for the 350 EXC or all the way to the 500 EXC? According to the specs, the only difference (other than the motor and money) is 9 lbs. I'm thinking of going 500 and not looking back. Any advice/reasons not to?

The 500 is an awesome bike BUT ive had a few peeps get rid of them because they got into the race scene. Tight single track and hare scrambles, that "9lbs" is huge and the power will wear you out fast. If you have dual sport intentions by all means get the 500. The new 350 is a bad ass bike and what a couple buddy's traded for. I've ridden a few tricked out 500's and I could finish race on one but they are a big bike. 350 or a 2 stroke XCW 300. All are street legal. Not much but you really have to look at what you are gonna do with it. In a perfect world the 500 and the 300 two stroke is the way to go.

Bumping the thread. My dad got tired of looking at his old desert bike, so hauled it out here to me. The engine was completely rebuilt by George Earl about 15 years ago. Just need to clean the tank, replace the carb and go riding. 07bfb838009404f25a4c56e28b42aaf9_261f62cfc0a50a6e42503dee605b5c9176a40fbe.jpg
