Hi, I'm an expat living in Baja California Sur, currently driving a 1988 sr5 4wd longbed which I have owned since 1989. It is my 4th Toyota truck, and the best vehicle I have ever owned. It's time for an upgrade to a Tacoma 4wd TRD with a 4.0 and probably the automatic tranny.. I drive a lot of dirt roads and a bit of beach driving, also. I'll keep the '88 as a local beach driver until it rust out or dies. I'll be perusing this venue looking for the best year Tacoma for reliability and comfort.
