Yeah thats one of the only problems with being located in SD, no one is nearby to borrow trucks from! Otherwise i prefer living here to keep away from the crowds, haha.

No problems. It was easier to install the light through the scoop opening. When reinstalling the scoop it took me a couple minutes to realize that I had to reattach the plastic piece before going any further. Nice product, thanks!

Here's my question. The scoop is closed off so that no dirt/water/debris/etc gets in the engine bay. What's the consequences of opening it up and allowing that access?

Mine hasn't been installed long enough to give a report but I'll be updating.

I have had mine installed for over a year now and hardly even get any watermarks on the plastic engine cover. Its not an issue at all in any way so far.

I installed mine in Aug. I upgraded to the hyperspot, SKU 911712. It is super bright but the problem I have is the light will not adjust for a higher beam. Right now, the center of the beam is just below the high beams. The light's housing is right up against the hood and I can't rotate the housing back more to raise the beam. The bracket is well made and the OP's pricing for the light is below other vendors, including Amazon. I may have to do some bending but I have no plans to remove the bracket right now.

Update on my install. It finally rained here today and I have to say there was no water on the engine cover. I was very pleased.

All of this info is at the top of page 1. The only lead time is about 4-5 days for the light to arrive to me once your kit is ordered. Kit includes bracket, mounting hardware, and complete Rigid light which comes with harness and switch.

I have thought about slotting the mounting holes a bit to add some adjustability on the next run of brackets. So far this is the first time i have had anyone report this problem. You may be able to unbolt the bracket from the studs on the hood, drop the bracket down, and insert a washer in between the bracket and the hood on each stud. This would lower the entire setup and should allow a bit of room to adjust the light up where you would like it to sit. Let me know if there is anything else i can do to help!

Excellent! so far i havnt experienced any issues with water on my setup.
