I'm running a Millermatic and I love it, but I'm on 110. I needed it to be portable, which is fine for the projects I take on. I might be upgrading my garage to 220 soon (winter project). Once I do that though, I'm getting a TIG. I'm really going to have to hit you up on that offer to use your tube bender one of these weekends maybe after the holidays. I'm itching to build my bedrack!

Dude absolutely! Hit me up, you're more than welcome to come over and use it!!

Haha it was a little confusing at first. To find the angle that I needed to make my bends to follow the line of the cab I used one of these guys (below). There are a few numbers to factor in when make the length of the tube for perfectly in between the bedrails. You need to know the measurement from center of bed rail to the other center of the other bed rail. Then you need to factor in the radius of the die on your tube bender. For instance, my die has a 6.5" radius. So if I were to make 90 degree bends for my bedrack, I know that if my bed rails are (arbitrary numbers) 50" apart on center then I have to start my bend at 6.5" in on both sides. I always extend the tube a little longer and cut off the ends cuz it's obviously easier to take material off than to put it back on. Haha I don't know if those numbers made sense but that's sorta the formula I've been using and it's been working for me hahaha.

Yup. Make a template and it's actually really easy to mark where your bend will start and end

Yes exactly. So the cab line is like 65-70 degrees. So you would subtract however many inches difference a 65 degree bend is vs the 90 degree bend and you would subtract that from the measurement in between bends to make each hoop of the bedrack so that the ends of your pipe land right in the middle of the bedrails.

Exactly, I've basically just written down the measurements that I've used on the 1st perfect one I built and gone off of those for all the rest!

That works, make sure it's something that you're confident in cuz to me my bender wasn't super cheap. $650 for bender and 1.75" diameter die. Now that I have figured it all out I would absolutely buy this bender over and over again! I love it!

This is what I want to do. I'll turn the bed into a tow able trailer with all the accessories and make the truck a flat bed. Hnmmmmmmm
