I've got a 2011 4x4 5 speed, and I've been looking at putting 2-1/2" to 3" of lift on it. I read a thread or two where some people had driveline issues but then others are okay. Anybody have any ideas on this? Looking at getting either OME/bilstein or shelling out for ADS/icon coil overs and OME/All pro leaf pack.
Will I need to shim my rear leafs? Do I need to flip my driveshaft?

5100's, add a leaf, aries pro bull bar, 30in led bar, 3M crystalline all windows including front, 4 crawler driveshaft spacer, Wet Okole seat covers.
I started with a 2.5 to 3" lift and noticed a grinding noise coming from the drive shaft. I resorted to all these forums that told me about u-joint angles to shim the the rear axle. So I did, well it made it worse and also lifted the rear end not level with the front. There is hardly any info on this so just put up with the noise. I noticed the problem went away when I picked up a load of top soil 500lbs. Long story short it was the slip yolk on the drive shaft. After the lift I over extended the slip yolk. A simple solution was a drive shaft spacer from 4crawler.com I went with .75" Problem solved and it feels great.

That's good to know, I'll keep that in mind.
