    I was looking to plasti dip the 17inch trd wheels.. Wanted to see if anyone has done it and if so how is it holding up? How many cans you need?

    Do a can per wheel. You want A LOT of coats (at least 4-5) so it won't be a pain to remove. Spend some time at dipyourcar.com

    I'd use 3 cans for 4 wheels.

    A can per wheel is.. unnecessary. There is also a lot more than 4-5 coats in a single can.

    you could powder coat them,, probably last a lot longer

    DO NOT Plastidip. It will look like shit and if you do the slightest amount of off roading it will come right off.

    Do this....

    good grit sandpaper and scratch the shit out of the rims
    2 coats of self etching black primer
    4 coats of wheel paint

    Were I to paint them, that is what I would do.

    I keep thinking about masking off ALL of the graphite
    areas and only painting the alloy(the V shapes that go around).

    Gotta be some photoshoppers here!?! :D
