    Very nice setup!

Just curious: What do you use the hammer for? To break rocks?

Good morning fellow tacomaers, have you or know someone who had the bed bending or cracking with bed rack such as all pro or relentless bars style of bed rack? I remember reading something where it was giving stress to the bed frame due to the weight and cracked beds sheet metal.. wanted to know if anyone else had experienced similar issues. Thank you.

Was a long time ago, but what cover are you running on your bed? Is that the BF G2. Really like this set up looking to duplicate. After a few years how have you like it?

That's a nice looking rack. How much did it set you back, if you don't mind me asking....

I think the basic rack was around $600. But I started adding thngs so I kind of lost track...lol
I built the drawers out of 1/2" MDO plywood and used 500lb load rated 48" drawer sliders. Cost me around $700 + my time

The cover was 650 with a TW discount code and I can't remember the website. I'd have to look back through old threads.
The rack was pieced together mostly from ORS and load bars used from eBay.

I have been wanting to build a drawer system with my dad and this information really helps. What did you cover the outside in? Mine will be exposed to the elements during the spring, summer and fall. Any complaints of water getting in and such?

Here's my bed rack. I used an old set of Thule Crossroad 450 feet I had from a previous vehicle and some beat up crossbars. Bought a $79 dollar el-cheapo roof basket on sale at Walmart and Viola!

Anyone on here who has a rtt mounted to a set of bars bolted into the factory bed rails have any issues? Seems to me to be the cheapest way to mount an rtt but not toally sold on the strength of the rails.

I didn't trust the bed rail, seems like a lot of weight on just that. I had a basket mounted to the rails before and that worked well but a tent and two humans probably a bit much. What I did was build two bars that use the rails to bolt down but sits on the bedsides for strength. So far so good, I've used that setup all year and have had zero issues. It is he cheapest option and easiest to take down when not in use, a bed racks seem a bit permanent and a pain in the ass to store when not in use.

I built my own out of 1"conduit. I also built the roof rack as well.

To anyone looking at our bed cargo bars, they do attach to the inner tie down rail but they do rest on top of the bed side caps as well. 3"x8" plate resting on the rail on each end of each bar. I wouldnt trust anything that only uses the inner tie down rail for all the load.
