Wow, hopefully no one was hurt during any of these collisions. By the sounds of the stories, no one was. Tough trucks!!

UPDATE: Got sick of waiting for the D.U.I. driver's insurance company to pay out, so I had the guy who's done body work on my Taco 3 times before remove what was left of my rear bumper so I could use my tailgate. In addition to the tailgate not opening all the way, I accidentally ripped chicken wire off the fence next door to my friend's house after backing into said friend's parking space. I also kneecapped myself on the rear bumper 2 or 3 times, and a guy I work with at Puck also managed to kneecap himself on the rear bumper. I forget whether it was one of the bouncers or a fellow barback, but was dark out, and my truck was parked in the manager's spot. He just walked right into the bumper.

Basically though, I was sick of doing this...
    IMG_1781.jpg
The above picture was taken in the parking lot of Costo. Once a week, a friend of mine who owns a cheesesteak place pays me to drive to Costo and pick up various stuff for him. I also haul stuff for my other friend (also my boss) who is the GM of a bar/music venue. Yeah, I use my truck for it's intended purpose A LOT. By the way, I do thank my awesome boss at the bar for loaning me the bar rags to use as a bumper/tailgate buffer while I waited for the insurance companies to duke it out!

These are some pictures of my baby at the body shop right after I had the bumper removed...
    IMG_1823.jpg
    IMG_1825.jpg
And this is my bumper, or at least what's left of it...
    IMG_1824.jpg
There was a Jeep Grand Cherokee getting some bodywork done right next to where the bumper is sitting, so that's why there's a random MOPAR box.

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I've gotten estimates of anywhere from $2,200 to almost $3,000 to fix my Taco, and the only real damage is to the left rear fender and the rear bumper.

Are they just gonna hammer out the dent in your roof? Was your radiator and/or A/C condenser damaged?

Might wanna settle in that can take forever. I don't know the specific details, but one of the vehicles at work got into a wreck in June. Geico has been sending us letters for 5 months now saying that they are still investigating and they all say a conclusion should be reached in 30 days HA. I could only imagine being put through that personally, especially if you had a non operational vehicle and needed that money for a new one.

Dash cam up, it makes "investigations" much faster.

This is obviously NOT my Taco, but I've seen it around town before and I figured it would be an interesting addition to the "Wrecked Tacos" thread. The front fascia/grille identifies this Taco as a 2011 model. 2005-2011 had the same grille/headlight design, with 2011 bringing a slightly different grille. 2012 brought a total redesign of the front end.

Anyway, seeing a Taco in this condition saddens me. I've let the interior of my Taco get a little messy before, and my Taco also has it's share of dents and scratches from normal wear and tear, but this is just ridiculous! The significant rust on the left C-pillar indicates that the damage is fairly old. You might also notice that the inspection and emissions stickers both expired in September 2014 (15 months prior to these photos being taken!). As much as I LOATHE the annual inspection (especially the emissions) here in Pennsylvania, I am always OCD about keeping my truck valid and up to date.

I texted some pictures to a friend and fellow automobile enthusiast, and he believes this Tacoma is in such poor condition because the owner is an old person who can't drive. It still doesn't explain why the owner didn't fix it.

This truck also doesn't seem to have any damage that (in my opinion) would cause it to fail inspection. I've seen some pretty messed up work vehicles around here that pass both safety and emissions with flying colors.

    Just thought I'd share this...

This does not count as a "wreck" by any means, but I still thought it was worth adding. Back in April 2015, I came out to my truck one day and discovered this damage to my front right tire. The tires on my truck as of April 2015 were 4 BFGs installed on Halloween in 2013 (along with the aftermarket rims), and sadly as of December 2015 all of them have been replaced. All tires had like 15,000-20,000 miles on them at the time they were replaced. I blew 2 of them out at the exact same place within the one week in August or September 2015, with identical damage to both tires. The remaining tire was in good shape but replaced simply because it was the only BFG left.

In the case of the tire damage pictured below I do not know what happened. It will remain a mystery. The tire did not go flat and continued to hold air, though I had it replaced within hours of noticing damage because I was driving to the spring swap meet at Raceway Park in 2 days and didn't want to risk it. It possibly went unnoticed for a day or more. The tire rode/drove just fine. Also notice the pitting on the rim right below the damaged sidewall. Again, I have no idea what caused this damage. I don't remember hitting anything that would have peeled the sidewall AND dented the rim. The damage to the rim was superficial and did not affect performance or safety.
