I have fallen in love with Toyos. I am on my first set but there pay back/pro-rated rebuy deal is cool, they guarantee certain number of miles depending on what tire you go with and if you don't achieve that number they pro-rate the next set of tires you get with them. There are some stipulations like getting them rotated regularly through one of there dealers (which is free re-balance and rotation as log as you purchase through them).
The New TOYO Open Country AT II and R/T models look great and perform well. Their syping is great IMO the 285s have a 10ply rating, the ATs are supposedly guaranteed for 65,000 miles and the RTs are a little lower. There RT is new this year as a hybrid between Toyos MT and AT. I will be buying those next. But for the two years I have lived in WA the AT II have worked great for me on and off road, through the rain and snow..... they just don't have a great clearing ability when it comes to thick mud and deep snow.

My 2 cents...... thanks for reading!!

Yeah, luckily I don't get a ton of ice down here. If I found myself driving in icy conditions often I'd run studs or a dedicated winter tire.

They do very well on wet pavement, likely due to the extensive siping, haven't hydroplaned a single time. They will throw gravel. If you want a good AT tire that doesn't pack, it will likely throw. I run flexible aftermarket flaps so it isn't an issue for me. See the link in my sig for more info.

I'll upload a pic when it's finished. Thanks everyone.

The power is decreased slightly, but it'll still get up and go. Truck definitely feels heavier though, but it also feels much more stable. Fuel mileage is decreased by probably 2mpg. It's noticeable, but worth it.

    KOs 285,
Would you mind telling us how much you paid for the tires and wheels plus having them installed? I am looking at a similar setup. I actually started with the same tires as yours but the sales person saw that I could get the BFG LT285/70R17 AT TAK02 for about 6 dollars more per tire at a total cost of 236.99 for each. I am also getting the ProComp 7069 Wheels for 129.99 each and the lugnuts for 49.99. For the install they are asking 135.00 for the alignment and 100 for the tires.

I love mine but have yet to see any snow or slush so the jury is still out. They handle amazing and in the rain are the best tires I've ever had and I am a huge fan of Cooper AT3's. I might be converted to a Michelin fan as long as I get 60k miles out of them.

Edit: oops, should have read further. Good looking tires OP!
