31st Vehicle - First Truck

    Hello!

    I'm not new to automotive forums, but I am new to trucks! My 31st registered vehicle, as of not even two weeks ago, is my 1997 Tacoma 4WD 5-speed V6 with 232xxx miles!! I've been living in the Metro Detroit area almost my entire life and these are not common at all, so I jumped on buying from a local Chevy dealer as soon as they posted it on AutoTrader. $5,900 asking price, I got it down to $4,450, and walked out with her for under $5,000. Glad I didn't settle for a v6 Ranger!

    All I've done is driven maybe 100 miles since and plastidipped the chrome black. Plans are for a purple paint job, in the spring, and a bed cover as soon as I have a few hundred dollars to blow; after timing belt area and all fluids are swapped.

    I've read a lot before signing up, so I don't have questions at this time. I agree, that dash clock is sure in a dumb spot!
