I landed a 25" short and lost a big keeper on the kayak Monday after work, rushed to get out at sunset and fished another hour into the night. Apparently last Sunday while I was in Maryland there was a blitz and there was bait and fish everywhere, even whales were spotted. Been going before and after work everyday this week but it got quiet after Sunday/Monday, still keepers being picked up though. The key is to find the bait. Bout to head out on the kayak in an hour. Can't chill till I get a keeper! :goingcrazy:

I wish Island Beach State Park was that open to camping. The drive on passes are teqnically beach fishing permits only. People do get away with sleeping over as long as the ranger doesn't catch you but you need a list of things on the truck including fishing gear. The park is open 24 hours, I rolled in around 4:30am this morn.

Oh okay, looks like you camped. On the coast in Washington you aren't allowed to drive on the beach after sunset/before sunrise. Only a few places in Oregon are you allowed to camp on the beach

Hey Chux did you have any problems mounting the double row LED bar? Zach said with a double row it doesn't fit as well height wise.. Not sure why :notsure:

Check out my write up https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/my-custom-prinsu-roof-rack.362841/

Zach worked with me on getting custom side rails. He may be saying double row bars don't work well with the stock design.

I'm in no rush to flip but its great having the components in hand. I have the flip kit now and super bumps and por15 on the way. I'm sort of looking at taking a few steps back to go forward. With the por15 I also want to remove my sliders and redo them. Need to remove and repaint my custom basket as well. Would really like to remove my prinsu rack and clean the roof cuz it's getting pretty skurfy under there. I still have cam tabs and spindle gussets to get on, AND a good alighnment. Lots to do but lack of time, sunlight, and garage FTL. Should start getting the truck in shape soon along with the front bumper coming in January. Really want to go wheeling and winter camping.

    Long overdue Assateague Island trip.

With the need to get out and hearing about a place in Maryland with wild horses, Ash and I planned a weekend to Assateague Island.

Being the coastal sea shore of Maryland and planning to camp on the beach and possibly fish, before heading out there I met up with my buddy who tig welded my roof basket to get some cross bars made up to mount my Thule snow clamps, which are great to carry fishing poles.

Also while there I worked on my new fairing for the Prinsu rack :spy:

Still needs some tweaking and I need to make a 4' brake.

Stocked up and ready to rock! Thanx to @JLink for letting me try out the ARB fridge. When I told Ash we were borrowing it she said "Wow that's a game changer". We will now have our own soon lol. Another add on I'm really digging now is a pair of amber covers for my LED pods under the cap. It makes it so much better on the eyes at night. Combined with the white LED strips in the bed makes an ideal light environment to work under at night.

We rolled into the island around 11pm so we made a quick camp bay side for the night. At morning light we could finally see our surroundings.

Walked around, checked out the beach, and came across this sign

He walked right up to our mimosas, knocked them over and licked it up. Breakfast was cleaned up so there was no food out. He sniffed his way around the truck and within a minute he snatched our dry food bag out of the back of the truck and tore into it!! Right away two other wild horses showed up

They stuck around for about 30 minutes. Luckily most of our food was in the fridge.
