Got an 04 6cyl 5 spd TRD. Owned since 2006 so nobody has messed with anything. Temporarily fixed p0136 code by sealing exhaust leak in pipe just before rear cat where that little heat shield was welded on. I am in NY so emissions is necessary. Bought a magnaflow direct fit rear cat but end that mates to muffler is 2.5" ID. Original cat is 2" ID. Anyone run into this problem before and what was your solution?. Don't want to keep ordering cats and inspection due soon so I need to get this right. Rear sensor has been replaced less than a year ago with correct Denso unit. Thanks in advance for any responses.

So get a reducer weld it to the cat and install

That would be the quickest cheapest fix.

Is that Cat Able to be ordered with the2" exit ??

Then maybe you ordered before measuring??

I returned the cat for credit. When ordering there was only vehicle application with no measurements required. Maybe it was boxed wrong although every other aspect of it looked like the original one.
