Is everyone still using their original headlight bulb grommet during installation or using retro fits?

@TRSAndrew. Installed my HIDs today. Only one side is working. Swapped bulbs and ballasts and still did not work. When I swapped the Can Bus it solved the issue. What is the process to get a replacement? Thanks.

I'm sure there's a way to mount without drilling.

I don't feel like drilling into my truck either

I'm having the same problem. I swapped every part around and found that it was the wiring harness. Was that the same for you, or was it something else??

@TRSAndrew and or anyone who has experience. I installed my switchback last week, and was thinking I installed the hyperflash resisters correctly as they did not hyper flash with the emergency flashers on. Boy was I wrong, I have had to deal with the hyperflash when using my turn signals.

I followed the instructions outlined here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/help-install-load-resistors-for-led-bulbs.354512/
However I was unable to get it working. Switching the wires did nothing.

Now I asked Andrew for instructions or hits a few pages back and got no answer. So anyone who has installed these, can you provide me with some incite as to what I need to do to install these correctly to eliminate the hyperflash, I would greatly appreciate it. @TRSAndrew could you chime in this time around?
Installed in parallel with the turn signal. Spliced the red wire to the green wire, and the black wire of the resistor to the white wire on the turn signal, did not eliminate hyperflash. Also tried switching the wires with no luck...

*edit* I thought*The website said switchbacks don't need resistors..at least that's how I read it.

I was concerned about this as well but ordered them and if they don't work I'll just return them. $45 / set is expensive, there are great LED's on Amazon $20 ish / pair ) in conjunction with an LED flasher (usually $15) that means you won't need resistors.

I got the amber only led turn bulbs, I like the amber look when lit. Let me know what you experience and if you end up having to run the resisters.
