Light a candle for me. I'm going shopping this morning! We have to be nuts!

Pray I'm not one of the door buster casualties.

I'm almost afraid to take the Tacoma out shopping, those shoppers are brutal on vehicles.

    My affairs are in order.

I am staying in this morning...however, www.kctools.com has some sales on fine German hand tools, use BLACKFRIDAY as the discount code. I had to replace a pair of long nose pliers that drifted off my workbench...

I'm going shopping with a friend,,but I sure as hell ain't driving. First time I have gone out on black friday in 10 years,,maybe more. Some places started there so-called deals last night at 6PM and then open all night. Have gone out shopping on white-Wednesday before, instead of black-friday. I pay a bit more,,but the awesome dividend is that there are no roadblocks and window gawkers holding me up.

I used to think this idea was crazy and a waste of money but its not, just call a taxi to go shopping, you get dropped off at the door and don't spend 45 minutes looking for parking or getting into fights about parking, you don't get wedged in by other cars or the traditional getting your car banged up, then when your ready to leave, they pick you up at the door and bring you home.

I swear if you park between 2 brand new Cadillac escalades thinking you are safe you come out and find you shit banged to hell parked between two cars that look like this:

Can't believe you guys went shopping!! That's crazy!

Oh wait, we are too.

Just HD though. Gotta get more "mud" for the drywall project. And plastic sheeting to block off doors/halls from sanding dust. Good times.

Would be awesome to find deals on some wish list tools, although not holding my breath, now that they've been open for hours and I assume all the good stuff is gone.

Going to the park too! Another beautiful sunny cold day in the PNW. Loving this weather.

Good bonfire weather. In fact, yesterday Eric convinced me (in my slightly tipsy holiday state) to let him burn tons of scrap wood that I've been hoarding for too long, while waiting for the turkey to cook. Sure, we need the space in the shed, but I coulda built something with that stuff!! Someday. Maybe. Or probably not. Probably more like trip over it 5 times a day, while cursing it and waiting for "inspiration" of what the hell to build with tiny little worthless scraps.

Happy holiday weekend TW peeps!

PS, you guys find anything good out shopping?

you did build something with that old wood, you built a good fire and had a relaxing day watching it.

I saved a ton of money today, I slept late and stayed home and watched the chevy chase movie marathon :ohsnap:

I'm laying low until the madness is over.

No bonfires here, burn ban due to the temperature inversion that comes with sunny winter weather.

Had a thick layer of wood heat smoke, drifting slowly up the cold valley this morn.

I'm glad everyone here heats with natural gas :anonymous:. Back in Ontario some mornings my eyes would burn from all the wood burning furnaces running.

Ahhhhhhhhh, I love this Tday weekend!

Leftovers, movies, good beer, bonfires, sunshine, projects, park with Dolly in cold sunny weather.........good times. Invented a new drink - whiskey, apple juice, and a dash of cinnamon & nutmeg, shaken and poured over ice. Like a apple pie in a glass, but icy cold and refreshing!

A nice boring weekend all in all.

Boring is excellent, especially for this particular weekend. Anyone remember what happened on the Sunday of Tday weekend exactly one year ago in our little world?

Nice that a full year has passed since. Seems like yesterday in some ways, but then again seems like it was so long ago that maybe it happened to someone else!

Yep, boring is suiting me just fine and dandy this weekend. :D

How's everything going out there TW peeps?

    I need some help.

The wife and I were shopping in one of the small towns around here in Michigan. I don't remember where. We visited many tourist/resort towns over the summer.

While wondering from store to store, my wife found these garden statues/figurines. I was smart enough to snap a couple of pics, but like a dumb-ass, I have no recollection of where the store(s)? were located. Traverse City? I dunno.

Regardless, someone makes these things. Help me find who makes these statuettes so I can order one or both and make my wifes' xmas wonderful.

For some reason, I was thinking you were gonna be the first to find one. Not sure I like the price, but it definitely looks exactly like my pic. Thanks Karl

Uh,oh. Wife pulled out the big guns to start on holiday baking. I better put extra effort into making sure she get a great gift or two from me. She is awesome in the kitchen too.
