Deactivate Text Notification

Any way to turn the text notification function off on a 2015 W/ Entune (no nav)?

I want my phone connected to use the speaker function, but the text stuff is Kind of annoying IMO.

 

I think there is a way to control this using one of the settings in the deck, but I'm away from my truck and cannot confirm. That said, you should be able to control text notifications to the deck from your phone. Not sure what kind of phone you use, and I cannot advise on the Android OS, but for iOS go to Settings=>Bluetooth=> select the circled i on the line where your Tacoma shows up=> Deselect "Show Notifications". Maybe someone else with Android can chime in on setting change on that OS.

 

open bluetooth settings on your phone, and swipe "show notifications" off.

pretty annoying i agree - but sometimes funny to hear texts from your wild friend spoken from the truck
