We just installed the second set on a Excavating companie truck. He has an F350 diesel and it's always on a heavy trailer. He said he liked them. I didn't have a chance to talk to him personally as he dealt with my manager for the deal.

I have mine at 38 ish and when heavy cornering I notice they grip well and feel like it moves more. also noticed the straight line highway "wander" but not horrible, only minor

I have Mickey Baja ATZ P3's 285/70/17 that scream louder than a scalded cat.

... so I'm thinking of going in the opposite direction to 255's, unless, of course, someone can chime in here and tell me that the ST MAXX is a quiet tire in a 285.

Go in the middle with a 265/70R17. The ST MAXX isn't a terribly loud tire. The ST and STT are both louder. I personally would run the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor in the 265. I also dont need a heavy lug tire.

I had that size in AT3's before the lift. That tire would be too small on my truck.

    I need 33's.

... and I'll never, ever, put another Goodyear tire on a vehicle of mine. They are outright garbage and are only good for a year. :poking:

Stacked spacer lift, 22x12 wheels with stretched 33's, tow mirrors, bull nuts.
The ST Maxx is pretty quiet. Rides smooth on the highway too. I've had 265/75/16 and now 285/75/16.

Aussiek could you post up an actual measurement of your tires and let me know the air pressure. I am curious to how they run in size compared to my toyos.
