Rusted Frame 2001 Taco

I just discovered a rusted out frame in my 2001 Taco and the factory said that I missed the deadline. Woe is me now I have to get a new vehicle and or try to get the Baby welded. any thoughts????

Hay Mike, I feel your pain !!! I purchased a 99 Tacoma SR5 , a couple months a go. I looked under it , but didn't spend a lot of time under it, checking rust. The person I purchased it from, said Toyota passed the frame inspection. Come to find out, she had that done years a go. Long story short, I found a bad spot, rigt under my driver side, rear leaf spring. Man I have to tell you, I was worried !!! Fortuneatly for me, I found a place near by, who specializes in (Rusted Frame Repair). Went there today and got an estimate. $750.00 unless they run into something else. He told me they might have to replace the cross member , under the gas tank ??? That would be an extra $150.00. They are going to inspect the frame from front to back before they start & call me if there is any additional repairs needed. I can tell You, its hard to find a place like this, who specialize in this kind of work. He told me, they do about 300 + repirs a year. Rose's Welding Service (765) 785-2099. Hello and Thank You for the comeback. It is a 2001 Taco and she is Beautiful. I ran over a dead deer and this started the frame inspection. She is rusted through on both sides by the springs. I am sick as I bought her new and she looks good, I found a Local welder who used to be an underwater ship welder who thinks he can save her for around 500.00. I have since bought a 2010 Taco from Auto lenders with 22,000 on her and she is beautiful, I put a Leer cap on Her and I am NOT happy with the inside Rails.
