Possibly getting a new Tacoma in the next month or so...hopefully! Looking at the SR5 model. Would consider the SR, but it only seems to come in one color!

Has anyone had any issues driving in snow or bad road conditions (not off road) with the standard tires on the '16 Tacomas?

Is it worth dropping the extra grand for the off tire road option? Or, any recommendations for other tires good in snow?

    Thanks.

    Bob

Have you considered getting a set of winter tires and rims?

You get plenty of snow in New Jersey don't you? I went with winter tires and winter rims for the winter. I wouldn't want to run the tires that came with my truck over on this side of the continent. When we get snow we gets lots of it. Doesn't normally last long but we do have our winter days.

havent driven mine in snow yet with the 16, but generally, you'll get by with stock tires but i personally think its worth the money to get either snow tires or at tires. i went the all terrain route and got the ko2. if i didn't get those, it would've been the nokian LT snow tires.

The stock tires are not going to be very worthy in a northeast winter unless it's very mild, or you just buzz around town. Cooper discoverer atw's are a new hybrid all terrain/winter tire that you can drive on year round. If you want an aggressive all terrain the bf k02's are the best, general grabber at2's are also good in deep snow. There are quite a few others AT's that will be decent as well.
