Denver received about 4 inches of snow and hovering 25 degrees. Took the Tacoma with new Duratrac skins to work. I didn't put the truck in 4wheel since I wanted to test out new tires and not one spun wheel going through the snow...impressed with the tires! Road noise is minimal as well but tight turns felt a little weird as the tires are square rubbers. Now I need to wait and see how many miles before the rubber runs out and blizzard condition roads to really test out the new tires :burnrubber:

Here is my build so far:
    • Spray painted black Tacoma emblems on the door.
    • Removed V6 emblem and placed TRD sprayed black emblem.
    • Duratrac for better offroad hanlding.
    • Tinted two front windows.
    • OEM rubber mats front and rear.
    • Vinyl Tacoma inserts on the tailgate.

On order 4-6 weeks out for fabrication:
    • Rock sliders.
    • Skid plate for T-case and Transmission.
For now basic/main upgrades are done for few years. May get a lift down the road depending on how much I can flex these coils and axles. Cheers.

Cool! The mid-west are predicted to have a mild winter this year. Below average snowfall. Weatherman out of Terra Haute, IN. is predicting no more than 15" for the winter.

wow. That's quite the prediction:rolleyes: I know we're in el nino this winter, but that still means milder on average! Could still get clobbered with a blizzard or two, and have a mild winter. Im surprised he threw that number out. You could surpass the 15" in one single storm. Not being a dick, i've always been interested in weather. If you remember, keep me posted throughout winter on your snowfall totals:)

What size tires? Any rubbing issues at all?

They are the same size as OEM. However, when I had placed both tires side by side (ones that came with the truck and duratrac) the duratrac visually looked bigger. May be its the tread pattern and extra protection on the side walls.

On the side note, does anyone know the specs how many degrees can I angle the Tacoma before tipping over...LOL!
