I mounted mine behind the grill a few weeks ago. Super easy to do and the light output is surprisingly great even though pushed back.

Nice looking truck. I moved from a 2000 Ranger, 4.0L, 4x4 into 2014 Tacoma about a year and a half ago as well. I Loved my little Ranger, it served me well for over 5 years, but the Tacoma and the Ranger are just miles apart. I could never go back to that old Ranger after being spoiled in new TRD Tacoma.

Good luck with the build. It's awesome that you and your dad have same truck and can go on adventures together.

Hmm is yours a 6 lug?? And I have 4wd, but I don't think it would make any difference between the two. If your truck came stock with 16's? I don't see the issue, I know there is some rims that are 16" that can't fit because of the caliper issue, but I know the NV's will fit.

That looks really good!! I've been looking at different ways to mount, that way is really popular. I'm glad to hear that the output is still good on it

Thank you!! I completely understand ahah yea you just can't go wrong with the taco!! I still trip out on how roomy it is. I have times to where I miss the ranger, but I will also never go back. The only other truck I will get is a tundra/ Silverado. Thank you I appreciate it, yea I love it!! We haven't been able to go on much, but there will be always opportunities to go.

Ya mine is a 6 lug, I thought it was funny that I already have a 16 inch wheel but I can't change it out with another 16?? But I did get better feed back today with some other places that I did call.

Exactly!! That's what I thought when they told me that too lol. I could understand if you were trying to get a 15" rim, but if your keeping the same size it shouldn't matter. Ok good man, yea you shouldn't have any problems with them, they should fit just fine

Ya will see what happens in the next few days, I keep eye ballin the double standard wheels as well doe.. So many choices haha gotta make that cut soon. I was thinking of gettin dat 17 inch rim too, but it just looks slightly to big for the taco, but it's kinda hard to tell tho from just pictures and the different angles, probably a lot different in person.

The double standards are really nice too, my buddie just got them on his ranger and they look sweet!! Ehh I feel like the 17's are too big, I like the 16's they fit perfect and the tires are a little beefier looking since you have more sidewall. I'm looking forward to seeing what you choose man!!

@nate232 What kind of mpg you get in the city? Also glad to hear you're enjoying your tacoma, definitely fun to off road in. I have an 04 prerunner I toy around in hahaha. Although I could use more power and possibly 4x4.

I'm getting around 16 I'd say, I've never really captured what I exactly get though. And I absolutely love it!! It has great power and full capabilities, 4x4 is a must. I haven't really taken her out in the dirt all too much though

Ya those tires for sure stand out with those 16's, did your methods come with lugs already, if not what size did you have to order? I'm thinking of getting gorilla lugs in black to keep the chrome look to a minimal if nothing comes wih it.

I can't remember exactly if they came with them or they were separate. But I got the gorilla lug nuts with them. I'm not quite sure on the size though. The black would look pretty sweet!! I didn't even know they came in black.

Ok, ya I wasn't to sure if the rims had came with the lug nuts or that was separate purchase.

Went for a little drive on a couple trails and drove through a fun wash. I would say it was pretty successful!! I bought some 1.25" spidertrax spacers in hopes that would help the rubbing I have in the front. I should be installing them in the next couple of days 1dc7fd22b59b5eff06d6a67f66bbc136_05e7b7b226f0e2739fdc0b9389da76bd447dcbd2.jpg
