Trailer wiring harness

I bought a taco without the tow package and while I am waiting for hitch receivers to be released, I figured I would get it wired for lights.

Will the 2015 wiring harness kits work for the 2016?

I emailed curt to ask when they would be releasing a harness....Ill let you know when I hear back. Im assuming it will be the same time as their hitch receiver. So end of next month/early January.

 

Assuming you are referring to the brake controller conversion harness, I contacted the dealership where I am buying my 2016 Tacoma and he basically pointed me to the correct harness - I determined it as the same as the 2015 Tundra #51455 or #51456 - Curt does list this. I ordered it and the dealer installed. It's a 10 pin plug that actually utilizes only 4 contacts. Connect directly to Curt brake controllers.
