Yes it does clear the hood by maybe 1/8" . I put a layer of grease on the corner where I thought it would hit and no transfer so no problems haha

lookin at picking this up for the pickup, the front end isnt horrible...but I had an issue with the disc being able to move it by hand when everything was still bolted up. So maybe a bearing is broke somewhere or something. something was loose because the knuckle doesnt move by hand. So not sure whats up with that but I just want to re-do the entire front end and put new everything in. But im wondering, this kit comes with KOYO wheel bearings, but looking at the image, do those bearings have the race on them already? they look different than the trunnion bearings that came out of the hub today.

@GuyHuey any suggestions as to what else im missing if I am? I've never messed with solid axles before and this is a first for me, but the front end id really love to redo it. So much to get done. Im not sure if it will all be done before Citrus lol

Make sure to keep track of the shims/location, it's a pain in the butt to do, not really that hard...
Been quite a while since I did mine though...

Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
The Marlin service kit is good to go. You won't know if any major components will need to be replaced until you get it all apart. I had to replace both spindles and one hub on mine. I would go ahead and upgrade the felt wipers to these https://www.trail-gear.com/TG/Trail...ls/i_0_0_3484/_140327-1-KIT.aspx#.VlsmouSCOSM while you have it all apart. If your not planing a regear at a later time it would be a perfect time to install a Sparten locker in the front, they're cheap and mine has held up great so far.

The trunnion bearings come with the race. It's also a great time to install new wheel studs and break rotors.

Very good point. Most of the time on a simple service you can just keep the same shim thickness that you took out.

sweet thanks, figured id ask you about it since you got an older toyota solid axle under the runner. Ya i dont have too much money right now for things like lockers and such atm, ive already spent way too much and I really dont want to put the money on the card for the rebuild kit....but I dont want the truck sitting on jackstands for 2+ weeks waiting for it. Plus...I dont want to get yelled at by the housing people for having the truck "immobile" for more than 24 hours haha. Im installing new studs as the front left has one sheared off and the back right wheel has 2 missing from it.
