2wd lower ball joint problem

    So what is the name and part number of the bracket that the lower Ball joint bolts on to that bolts to the lower control arm, mine is cracked and about to brake.

    Pics? Usually bolts to the spindle, and BJ goes to the LCA.

    I also have this
    I know this is old but maybe someone can help me. I have a 96 2wd tacoma and the passenger side ball joint is worn out. The ball dropped out of the spindle and i cant find the exact part i need to replace it. All i need is the ball.

    You need the entire ball joint. You can't just get the ball only. You have got a greasy mess there. On the plus side ball joint replacement is not too bad on our trucks. A bit of searching will show you how to swap them out.

    Do the replacement ball joints look exactly the same. Or will it look slightly different.

    They will look just like the originals. Of course you need to get rid of some of that grease to see exactly what they look like.

    Yea that picture is from some time ago. The grease is gone now but do you know where to look or what to search because everything i see doesn't have the same bolt pattern or is from a different year. I search things like"96 tacoma lower ball joint" and cant find anything that looks alike.

    Don't even know what it would be called, although I do know what you're talking about. It is definitely something you can find at the dealer though, maybe even the junkyard.

    I was never able to find one. So I just had them welded. I'v been running them for 4 years now. No problem at all.
