That's a good thing..

 

Just sorting a few things out..

up and down the ladder, move the ladder, up and down, move, up and down.... Well, the light mounting "spot" is now clean.... tomorrow, start putting up the light clips. That totally Awesome cleaner is the bees knees. Works great!!!!

 

No ladders for me. I'm done with that crap

 

Only thing I don't like about my ladder (little giant) is, it's kinda heavy I'm not as strong as I used to be

 

I'm just trying ways to be more efficient in an older sort of way.

 

No more ladders and keep someone happy Tell me when that happens

HA HA HA Cons been COLD all week, low 60's and she is grabbing blankets

 

60's is cold?!? I called my son on Thanksgiving and I said "it's really warm here for Thanksgiving - it's in the 60's"!

Great looking lights and decorations guys. Mike, I may have to look into that laser gizmo.

 

She doesn't read this so I am safe. Convinced the wife that being retired the electric bill for the lights is a cost we can cut back on.
Do the South West thing candles in a paper bag.

Sorry ,my wife would work an extra hour or 3 to pay the difference and she is self-employed

Moving her 1500 miles away from family & friends leaves me very little leverage to question holiday "quirks" even being semi-retired....

 

Morning all. We don't decorate outside other then some garland and lights on the porch railing. The wife calls me a Grinch and we have an understanding . I do the outside and she does the inside. Works out really well for us. Pulling the tree up out of the basement and setting it up this weekend. Have a good day all.

 

It's a heavy heart and no sleep since yesterday that makes this post hard. One of our young techs committed suicide. Being so focused on work and making the time makes you get tunnel vision.
He was a nice guy. Don't want to know the details or reasons. Healthy young people shouldn't be thinking this way.
I do know one thing. Everyone needs a friend. A core group. Something to hold on to and grow from the roots. He didn't have it....
Be someone's friend.......

 

Prayers for his family Mike. May he rest in peace. So sad to hear about young folks throwing their lives away like that. Pass my condolences to the family and the guys in the shop.

 

I have experienced co-workers that have taken this path it is very sad, so I pray very hard for their families that they can endure the loss of one who chose to take such a heart breaking way to deal with pain.

 

Sorry to hear it Mike. This is a tough time of year for some folks; holiday stress + less hours of sunlight can put some people in a bad way.

 

Really hate to hear that, Mike. I've never understood taking your own life at a young age. Four engineers I worked with at a major defense contractor for 22 years committed suicide .... I'll never understand

Hope the family is handling it OK.
