Well I'm back home for the holiday and this is my view......

 

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am thankful for all of you!

 

The ATV section of croom is crazy. I wish they had this in the regular section, crawling in an ATV is about 500% more exciting than in a truck. That first picture is almost 90 degrees straight up.

 

If thats the bike park the whole area across the road from the picnic tables & bathrooms in the back is full of hills & pits. There's another area like that but smaller next to 75 on the north side of the dirt road going into the woods.

 

I love the atv park. Them hills like that can be done on dirt bikes as seen the one track going up. Quads are a hairy situation. They have trial bike courses too.

 

1:40 is where it starts to get fast. I have videos of the hills going down and up some. I have one where I hit a whoop section that I didn't see coming over a hill and I almost lost it.

Ground was wet so my setup hooked really well. I had the front come up 3 to 4 times on a straight away.

My quad was a 07 yfz450 with 21" holes hots and a 13 front sprocket. Sparks exhaust and a open k&n filter with a prewrap.

This makes me want to get my quad back running. Haven't been to Croom for almost a year. Sure it has changed a bit.

 

We used to do the same thing but on bikes & started up front by the sand pit on the west side & worked our way back to the campground, that fence line took us past the old quarry & the damn whoops had to be 2-3 ft tall.

 

Some massive ones in that park. I hated trail a coming back from the hills to the front pit. Thats where my boss liked to park, do a few laps around the pit and hit the trails and hills. That video ends i think at the parts graveyard where everyone throws the broken parts on the tree or what not.

I heard about that place but never found it. My cousin almost got taken out by a deer once when we were riding along the north fence. I saw the deer cross the road outside the park, ran up to the fence & was about to jump it, by that time my cousin was right there & luckily the deer decided to turn around & go back the way he came.

 

This is way far in the back. The only part I hated was all the "whoops" but I had fun getting some air.

 

We used to ride croom about 12 years ago lol, I still remember my uncle climbing one of those hills with his Polaris 700 and it toppling backwards and him rolling down the hill between two trees about 3 feet apart. Lucky as hell for sure

 

The whoops give me arm pump bad. I only saw one deer and that was when we walked up a hill to find a drop off on the other side that was maybe 40' down. When we hit the top a deer was on a little ledge on the side of it. My boss hit a squirrel and that was crazy to say the least. Back tire kicked it up and I had a squirrel coming at me

 

We would find deer in the morning & chase them but it wouldn't last long, they'd corner way better than we could. Haha
We would see hogs out there too.
