How To Remove 2005 - 2011 Fog Lights

This is a thread to show how to remove Tacoma fog lights.
I searched but did not find a lot and some vids had were not very clear.
I have a 2010 Tacoma DCSB V6.

I bought the street legal fogs from rigid and need to install them.
The old ones can come out in about a min if you know what to do...

1st step is to pop the plastic keeper/tab that holds the fog light in...

You can see on the out side hole there is a tab you can push with a screw driver, push the tab and push on the back of the fog light, it will move just a little bit, that's fine.

2nd squeeze the tabs on the back of the adjuster to release the light.

As you squeeze the tabs start pushing the the fog light.
Be careful the fog light can pop all the way out like it did for me( no damage )
There is another tab on the inside of the light but if you push it at an angle it should just pop right out.
if not work it loose from the back with a screw driver..

You can unplug the harness first or last. If you unplug it first be careful not to drop the light...

If you install the rigid fogs tape the clip on before installing...

Hope this save you some time........

The rigid fogs were a good upgrade, throw more light, further and wider than the stock fogs with 60 watt bulbs....

Just used this as a guide to install my new Morimoto LED fogs.
Not even enough time to crack open a beer.

 

When you know how they come out it goes really fast...

LED w/DRL Halo fog lamps for my 2011 Tacoma. Thanks for the instructions above for removal. When I get a semi warm day, I will be installingm (winter in MO w/o a garage). Anyone have any suggestions on where and how to tie into the daytime running lights on a Prerunner Double Cab TRD Sport model? Use a T-Tap Connector?
