Bro...I can't speak for any of the other brands, but I absolutely love mine! A lot of guys here on the Oahu TW group have also switched to ICON's as well. You won't be disappointed for sure. I have the adjustable CDC version, so I can set the ride firmness, but I'm not sure that's a big deal or even worth the extra cost. I set mine to #4 on the adjusters and love it there. As a matter of fact, if you get the Non-CDC's they come preset to #4...go figure...:D I also like the look of the ICON's with my truck theme. I know OME just came out with a new BP-51's which look pretty awesome, but I'm not in the market. I would also take a look at those as well...:)

Hey Rick, got a question for ya :D

With all the armor (Front bumper, skids, and winch) you're running, I figure it to be around 200lbs. How are you liking your ride with the CDC Icon coilovers with the 700lbs springs?

My setup will be about 50lbs lighter (no winch) and with the Icon CDC coilovers I'm about to order, I'm considering the heavier duty springs since I know my truck won't be shedding weight anytime soon. Most of the cons I've read about are regarding the "harsher ride" on a lighter truck. But I'm assuming that I would be able to dial the CDC coilovers down a notch to say "3" to account for the heavier duty coils?

I have a steel bumper with no winch and it barely sagged the front with 650 lb springs. I don't have much preload on my coilovers too. The extra weight from my bumper actually smoothed out the ride some.
squint0241 has like a 500 lb winch that was sagging his truck.

Thanks for the input. What is your front hub to fender measurement?

    Mine with stock bumper:
    TRD OR DCSB V6
Measurement from Hub to fender (front): 23"
Amount of thread showing on coil overs: 1.5" (on drivers side)

I can't get you an accurate hub to fender # because I chopped my fenders. I am at about 2.5" of lift. I have about 1.5" of thread on passenger and 1-5/8" driver iirc.

Rick has the aluminum front bumper and 700lbs springs. His front was sagging because of his new winch. So he switched to the 700lb springs.

I can see my admins were actively providing input while I was away..:D

Yeah...once I added the winch the front was a little bit lower, so I cranked the coils down to compensate for the droop. Unfortunately, I was getting around 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 inches of thread showing on the shock threads and was also worried about the coils binding as they were getting fairly compressed. Plus less travel was induced by compressing the coils. So...switched to the 700's as they are also an inch longer. It worked out perfectly, and honestly I can tell no difference in the ride quality. You are correct with the CDC's. I do have mine set on 4 so it's a softer setting, but really it still feels just like it did with the 650's. In the end, with the extra weight on the front it was prob a smart move to go 700's. Plus I'll get more travel now off road. I think I have a little over an inch of thread showing on each side which is fine.

Added spacers made by my buddy "Luka" until I get my Allpro Expo's. Only gave me about half an inch, but that's ok. Will help with the bigger tires until the new leafs...

Thanks to my brothers: Miles, Ron and Nate for for their outstanding support as usual...
