Florida B.S. Thread

I only had to do one bend. The top is made out of cardboard so I know where and how to make my cuts. Then trace, cut the parts I don't need and score the metal but don't cut all the way. Bent the part where the 3 holes are to where it needed to be with a vise and pipe wrench. Then when I have it all where I want it I weld the score line up and flap disc so I can smooth it out. The side where the part mounts is a separate piece that I did a little bit of a t joint weld. Then flap disc to round it out

@Timbo89 ooohh ok, awesome thanks, was just wondering so when i get my floor pans redone I know there are gonna need to be a couple bends...and i dont have nor want to buy a metal bender lol

 

What size pans you getting? It may be easy to bend

I dunno maybe 16 or 18 gauge, im not too sure what size I should use. I may just redo the entire floor pan and trans tunnel. Might try something like this, but not as extreme lol

 

Do it haha. That stuff should bend pretty easy

 

sweet, lol, I guess I can go with 18 gauge and a bunch of the square tubing....only question now is what size tubing lol

Haha ya....and I thought my 2nd gen was bad lol. I'm already in the hole too much as it is...so....I'll have to wait to do the floor pans until I get some shit paid off haha. I just dropped another $270 on the front axle rebuild kit from marlin crawler and the kit guy reccomended me to get from trail gear....so at this point....I dont think there's anything else that I really NEED to buy for the 80 right now other than wants haha

 

You get the wiring harness sorted out?

Yeah, I just bought the JEGS 20 circuit, didn't feel like messing with a custom one right now

 

I do but money is tight. Spent more then I planned on getting the 35s and putting them on the truck (extra lift)
