150 ftlbs, that's tight! Good idea on the witness marks too. When you say LCA you're referring to the cam bolts, right?

yeah LCA cam bolts. Mark the centerline of the bolt to the frame, dont use the eccentric cam markings as a reference as they wont be as accurate. You need to know where the center of the LCA bolt was positioned in relation to the frame.

Also, if i had to do it over again, i would have my alignment guy get the numbers that i wanted with the upper ball joint slid ALL the way outward (they are like 1/4 of an inch in right now). that away if they did somehow move, they can only move in one direction, and it would be REAL easy to know where they need to go back to.

That would be giving up the extra adjustability you said you wanted...

only if you maxed out the LCA trying to get camber with your needed caster.... if thats the case then just spin the ball joint to get more caster to return the LCA to a more neutral setting.

As my setup stands i still have the ability to add 2 more deg of caster (currently at 3.4* caster, -.4* camber and .1 toe in each side) on a 2in lift and the LCA adjustments are just about centered in their range front n rear bolts, leaving plenty of room for me to slide the ball joint all the way to its outer most position and still be able to get my -.4* camber

Heres the link to where I describe doing my own alignment using jberry's instructions.

I ended up with the factory eccentrics "max caster/min camber" and then took all the caster and camber adjustment in the LR UCAs.

That meant that the driver side was set to "Position G" (0 increased caster) while the passenger side was set to "Position D" (2 degrees increased caster)

the bjmoose daily driver build - self alignment

Trying to get more info On this. Have an 06 dclb with fox 2.0 all around. It's my dd and minor off roading. Sounds like jba is a good choice over the lr. I guess my main concern would be proper alignment opposed to having at much travel as possible seeing as I don't off road that much. I'm New England

I was looking into dirt kings also. Would you be staying with a ball joint or going to the uni? Doesn't seem like a lot of people are talking about their balljoint uca
