If your not allowed some practice ( as much as you want) It is not a fair test.

Could it be it was planned this way after what 2 weeks or so off??

To bad you need more $$$ classes

    Best of luck !!!

    Thanks, will do.

We're able to go in at 6:00 and practice until 8:00. We have also been practicing the past 3 weeks.

We had a week off for thanksgiving so I haven't welded in 10 days, but I'm not that worried about it because the past 3 months all I've done is run 7018 4 days a week for about 6 hours a day.

Thanks, I'm pretty confident going in with what my teacher has told me about my welds in the past.

Not sure exactly but the 5 weeks of training after you get the job (before you pass all positions flux and 7018 X-ray) is $15/hr and when you get to the yard base pay is close to $19/hr.

    Not sure, I know there's 5-8's and 4 shifts, 0600-1400, 1400-2200, 2200-0600, and 0000-0600.

And you can work Saturday and Sunday if you want.

    Thanks guys, I'm pretty happy.

Yeah, gonna keep doing what I've been doing, and in January I'm gonna take the night class so I can stay up on practice to pass the X-ray test easier.

Rear receiver I finally got around to making a super simple rear bumper. Also built a fire pit for the house with a wooden top to use as a second table on the deck. The gf helped me weld it, shes learning the fab life

Ripped out an IFS skid over the last couple afternoons. Sucks trying to paint things when it's 32° outside.. Pretty happy with how it came out:welder:
