Well I hooked it up again and tested the ends of the tails right before actual heating pads and I was getting 13 volts with the truck running. So I went for a ride and it looks like they do heat, but I'm a little disappointed. On max heat after a 20 min ride it wasn't setting my butt on fire.

    So to help anyone else:

This is a 3 wire system for each seat. 1 Black, 1 yellow, 1 Red.
Black - grounded to a bolt under center console
Red - Has an inline 7.5 fuse. Ran to fuse panel. Added an "add a fuse" to the end of the wire with another 7.5 fuse. Installed it in the ACC 7.5 slot. Add another 7.5 to the "add a fuse" so your radio and clock still work. The red wire will illuminate the on/off light on the switch only.
Yellow - haven't figured out where to go with this one yet, but it will illuminate the switch at night similar to your power window buttons

Thanks all. Welcome to keep giving yellow wire tapping points

You say yours is only three wires? If you gave the one that you post pic of you should have 4 wires

    Black
    Red battery power
Green or red w/yellow tracer switch power
    Yellow. Illumination power

Test voltage at the various switch settings - L-M-H and report back.

Mine Also had inline fuse of 20 amp on red wire and 7.5 on the red/yellow switch wire

Good point. The other wires coming from what I guess is a transformer box (???) are dummy proof in my case. They have a quick connect on them and clearly plug into the back of the temp control switch. If using one of those round switch buttons, butt splicers might be needed. In hind sight I wish I got the round switch. Cleaner and easier install of the switches.

It's a five point switch. You're saying test at the tails right before the heating pads on all 5? Any guess what you think I should be seeing?

Yes, test at the plug on each setting to see if the switch is working correctly and stepping up the voltage with each switch position.

Additionally, in my kit, on each pad is a small rectangular block, that is a safety thermostat and when I first installed, it was right where the seat back met the bottom and it would get hot and stop allowing the pad to heat further. Once I adjusted it, the pad heated properly.

One other thing that comes to mind, you have to cut the pad a certain direction to make sure you don't break the current path. Any chance to pad conductors were cut in a way to stop the current path?
