I should have ordered the ATO flip bracket..the SOS one is taking a long time to say it has shipped and give me a tracking number :annoyed::tumbleweed:

Not particularly happy to be honest..this coming Friday (in 4 days), it will be 3 weeks since I placed the order  I need to get the bracket and the shackles to the powder coater and that takes another week (roughly)..not happy..

So I reached out to Boogyman and Eddy and I found out that the lead time is 10 weeks!! That's insane! I know he is swamped, but, again, a shackle slip bracket isn't a bumper or sliders..damn. Thought about canceling and going with the ATO..but I did not do that. Timing for that and a few smaller items might actually work out the way I want it to...:anonymous:

To help ease the depression of that 10 week lead time, I purchased a CAI this evening for a HECK of a deal! :woot:

I have a smaller item that will need to be taken to the powder coater that is vital for this CAI and while I am waiting for my SOS shackle flip, I can purchase this item to have it ready for paint in time!

Still pricing out shocks with some vendors to get the best deal possible..awaiting replies at this time..

    Changes are coming!

The shackle flip is a heck of a thing to do. Make it easy on yourself and torch out those rivets. That air hammer business is for the birds.

    Tel me about it..

I'm 90% sure I will be doing this at a shop managed by a friend of a friend so I should have everything I need. My buddy has a tank/torch setup so I will have that on hand too. Thanks for the advice!

Also, my CAI shipped a couple hours after placing my order! Should be here Friday! :woot:

Cool man, can't wait to see it all together. Are you going with stock length shackles or longer shackles for increased ride height? Sorry if youve stated that already I didn't see it.

    I can't wait either! :woot:

I went with the stock length from ATO because, at the time, they were the only OEM replacement ones that I could find that were greasable. I later learned that the SOS ones are greasable even though that information is not on his website. I thought about canceling the ATO order but after talking with @ragincajun35, who has the ATO shackles, said the ATO stock lengths are perfectly fine for him when he had KRULL and all the extra weight on the back. I can always upgrade to the SOS ones (0"-1.5" adjustable) down the road if I needed to but I trust Ragin as he has run them now twice.

A few guys on here are running the XJ 5" greasable shackles on their shackle flips but I think that is more so because they run a LOT of weight in the back and the 5" makes up for that sag. Plus I would be a hypocrite running Heep parts on my Tacoma

Yep, I have the ATO stock length as well. They will also make custom lengths for you. I intend to have a custom size made once I add weight and see how much I need, if any. Sounds like you got it man

That's another thing, once I have the added weight on the back, I can get a custom one made that will suit my needs perfectly. Thanks man..just been doing my research! Once I have my shocks, I will have everything I need and the :sawzall: will begin!
