Limited Leather Seat Question

Just got off the phone with Toyota Canada and they couldn't answer this question, so turning to other Limited owners for help.

Last night I reached in the back seat to grab some groceries and noticed that only the passenger seat has one of those pocket compartments on the back of the seat, nothing on the driver's side.

For those Limited owners with the leather seats, do you have a pocket on the back of the drivers seat?

I had a 2013 Limited that had them on both seats.

 

It is only on the back of the passenger seat.

Ya there is no pocket in the back of the drivers seat..... I thought it was little awkward...and then the door driver and front passenger cupholders space is too tiny to stick any papers & menus unlike the back passenger doors...

 

True. I do like the new cup holder, no more pulling the rubber insert piece out with your bottle of water all the time, that was annoying.

 

Those are called a Map Pocket. It's a throwback to the days of the road atlas and navigation by hand. Perhaps the reason there is only one on the passenger seat is because the driver might be better able to reach it.

 

Pretty much just use these for kid crap for longer drives. Fortunately the aftermarket Katskins I got both have the pocket!

 

Makes sense, it's also bigger this year, so maybe they thought one was enough. I never thought I would use navigation, kind of the cliche "What do you need a map for???" type of guy. But since having it on my last LTD, it's come in very handy, especially on a long trip down the west coast on the 101.

 

I've seen those Katskins on some posts, VERY NICE.
