Anyone know how to switch litres/100km to read mpg on the Canadian trucks. I only want the gas mileage in MPH and in American/English Standard. I buy my gas by the litre but I think in MPG, even the smaller US gallon makes more sense than litres per 100km.

Yes. Scroll through the 4" display screens until you get to settings. You may also have to scroll down on that screen, but it gives you the option to change units. I stumbled on it by accident.

For people responding to the good dealerships question. Can they also list the name of the salesperson they dealt with? Sometimes their quality can vary widely at different dealerships.

Yeah, I would not recommend Jorge from Lethbridge Toyota. On our 2016 test drive, well, let's leave it as he was less than helpful. The sales manager did video message me back an apology that seemed very sincere though so who knows, maybe something was done about my experience. The sales person I dealt with originally in 2013 has left but Reid seemed like a good guy to deal with too.

Edit: Oh, and when the lube bay screws up, Jim is a great service manager and will take care of you. He always seemed to care and did take the right steps to make things right in my mind.

My wife and I are negotiating the purchase of a car (Volvo) as she's been driving her old Accord for well over 10 years.

Because she has a numbered corporation, we are buying her car as a fleet vehicle. There is a significant discount when doing this - much more than we could have negotiated than by looking at a Car Cost Canada report and offering 2-4% above the dealers invoice price as indicated on the report.

If you are buying a new truck, then it might be worth while to inquire with the dealerships fleet manager. If you don't have a corporation, it typically only costs $300 - 600 to incorporate provincially with a numbered company. Might be worth it in the end.

You can also often buy through your fleet arm if you work for a big company. That's how I get fleet pricing. BTW Ford actually beat fleet pricing for my wife and I, so it's not always the cheapest option.

Yep they were very flexible about it. They also offer free lifetime synthetic oil changes

I think that's the only way to go. A 30 minute test drive does not give you a good idea or allow you to get over new car wow factor.

Mayfield Toyota gave a guy here $3K off of MSRP on a .16 TRD. If I lived in Alberta still I would have been all over that deal. Try Bill and Mayfield. With the problems in the oil patch these days there should be deals around.

I've bought one from Henninger Calgary once, they were ok, but I feel they move less on their prices. I've bought 3 from Country Hills Calgary which were BEST for price movement, but the dealership in general has a feel of being a herded cow, buy and move along...they must do huge numbers there. I attempted Cochrane, but they were horrible in sales, awesome in parts and service though.

Country Hills looks like they are willing to move $2200 off msrp....Mayfield in Edmonton could possibly do more which sounds crazy...so some dealerships are willing to deal!
People quoting over $3000 off msrp..is that before taxes and levies??

Not for a 2016, but heninger was good for my 2014. No dicking around and well under msrp.

Just know that the 'lifetime free' only works while you follow the Toyota scheduled maintenance performed at henniger. Including cabin air filters every other oil change..
