I get 17-18 mpg consistently on my light toyo 285s (only weigh 40 lbs). No BS. I implore you to go to the mpg thread, plenty of upset 2016 OR owners getting less than the advertised 18-20 mpg, or just ask the guy who OWNS a 2016 and agreed with me. But yes total BS, by the way we are in America so its liter not litre.

I get around 18.6 city with a little bit of lead footing...If I drove like granny I'm pretty sure I can make 21. Just a little over 1000 miles.

.My rear window thankfully does not have power. God only knows I would not want to ever open it.

What Americans don't know how to spell and since you bring it up it is litre that is how it is spelled even in America.

Yes I may be American but fail to see the issue, or joke? Also have 3 degrees, but guess since I'm American I must be fat, lazy and uneducated. A litre (proper international term, yes you are correct, for that unit of measurement) is referred to and spelled in America as a liter.

Maybe some exaggerate but why? I consistently got 16mpg on my 285/75r16 trail grapplers, they were heavy but truck did that consistently on 93. My current truck I went with a lighter 285 in the open country's and get 17-18 consistently hwy or city on 93, a 1-2 mpg loss from stock, not sure why that is so hard to believe. The 2nd gen v6 drivetrain was great for 32-33'' tires.

To all you English teachers out there. :brianr:

You do realize that most do this shit from their phone and don't proof read. Also error correct makes up shit what your not looking.

"17-18 consistently hwy or city" Hahaha yeah right that bitch gets 10 in the city... downhill, with a tailwind, with moon gravity, and a fat girl in the passenger seat.

Ya okay dude. Thats a 8 mpg loss. I'd have to be weighed the hell down and driving like a tool. But whatever makes you feel better about yourself. Plenty of threads, https://www.google.com/webhp?source...=285+mpg+tacomaworld+site:www.tacomaworld.com, noting most guys only see a 1-2 mpg loss with 285s on their 2nd gens. We are either all a bunch of liars or your obviously wrong, I will go with the later.

With my 285 I'm only averaging 15 mpg. I'm also trying to drive like grandpa rivers. My dash says 14.5 but with the error correction it's about 15.
