So I had the spacers put in to level the truck and then some nice rims and 33" Toyo tires.

First day driving it on the new tires but when I hit about 30mph it starts to make a waaam waaam waaaam sound the gets a bit louder when I go faster. Sounds like a rubbing sound.

Any ideas what this could be? Did the clowns at Les Schwab not install something right or is this noise normal for a bigger tire?

    Thanks.

Did you see if they are rubbing the upper control arm? You will have a rub mark where ever they are hitting.

Okay, so I went out and took a look see. The control arms are fine and I see no rubbing or scuff marks anywhere. Any other suggestions?

It could be. It just sounds odd but I've never had these tires or big rims before on a truck. I could see no rub marks anywhere under the truck.

Nope. Driven BMW's. This is my first Toyota on mud tires.

    Maybe it's just normal?

I'll run it by the shop and have someone put some better eyeballs on it.

I'd have someone who is versed in modified trucks drive it. that will at least let you know if its just tires or something more severe.

18" rims with 33" Toyo tires.

I climbed around under the front and back. Could see no place that even looked close for rubbing. Maybe the sound is coming from something other than the tires?

I would put your factory wheels back on and see if the noise goes away and then you know if its the wheels or something else. If you had it done at a shop then get them too drive it they should know where the noise is coming from.
