So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
I'm thinking of using some sort of system to keep track of maintenance done and what needs to be done. Currently I'm using my limited brain to recall work I did on the truck and then go back through pages of hard copy to find out specifics. I need a new method. Also I'm working on three vehicles right now and my Girlfriends daughter is not great about telling me what goes on with her car or remembering oil changes etc.

I'm thinking Serfax might work well. Serfax.com but have yet to create an account and give it a go.

Anyone here use something stand alone or web based ?

I use the Android app ACAR to keep track of all of my vehicle maintenance records. While it has it's quirks and idiosyncrasies it works just fine for my needs...

if you and her have an iphone/ipad then I would look into this: http://darrensoft.ca/roadtrip/

if you can get her to consistently input the data as it is done then this could give you access to the data you need. it is sync able between devices by using dropbox. I have been using it since 2008. totally worth the couple of bucks for it.

I used to use a book and save all receipts for filters, fluids ect...

Then I got lazy and decided to just let the dealership do it all.

I like your method Joe. When I was young I did all the work myself. Then I got a good job and let the dealer or my local mechanic do it all. Now with cash flow the way it is I have to back to DIY just about everything.
I don't have Iphone or Ipad. We're an android family. The serfax I mentioned above is a web based system which might work better for me when I dump the smart phone for a simple talk and text device.

I hear ya on the cash flow.

I just used a book and documented what I did which went along with the manufacture recommendation. I'd note miles & date and staple the receipts on the page. It was easy...kept the book in the truck.

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
For the Honda the dealer does all the maintenance and repair. I just keep a stack of invoices. For the Toyota I keep a small notebook in the glove box, but I do the maintenance myself.

I keep all the receipts in order from any parts or fluids that are bought and write the mileage on them.
Electronically I made a spreadsheet like this.

DATE. MILEAGE. SERVICE COMPLETED. PARTS USED. COST NOTES.
