I was wondering if anyone knows what gauge wire is running from the inverter to the 115 volt outlet in the bed of the truck?

Also what gauge wires are used on the input side from the battery?

Also is there room to put a larger inverter in the place of the original one, perhaps a 750 or 1000 watt?

Leaving the inverter heading to the outlet its a pretty small gauge, probably 16 or 18. 400w only allows you 3.33 amps at 120 volts, hence the small gauge.

Input to the inverter is probably an 8 gauge from the battery, then a much smaller ground.

The inverter is pretty snug under the center console, wouldn't be much room to expand to a larger one.
