    Whats up everyone!!

After years of driving beaters around while my nice/race car was used for weekend fun and road course/AX duty, I decided to get something nice for myself to daily and have a different kind of fun with.

The wife pushed me to get something I wanted, weather or not I or we needed it. She's pretty sweet.

Anyway, after some weeks of searching and looking at tons of different types of vehicles, I had almost given up and went back to a beater. I then came accross a small used car lot and fell in love.

This is my new (used) 2005 Toyota Tacoma SR5 TRD Access Cab! V6-Auto Model.

Im very happy and excited to be part of this community. I have always loved these trucks, and honestly never thought id have one.

I dont have any huge plans as of yet. Mainly do some small maintenance and drive her. Im probably going to pick up another set of wheels/tires, as I have found a bunch on CL for a good price.

Today was the first day I really drove her. Got her yesterday evening. I took her to work and I loved every second of it. Its about a 23 mile drive, most highway, some back road, and the fuel needle barely moved.

I figured someone was going to ask.

My weekend warrior is a 1997 Eclipse GSX (All-Wheel Drive - Turbo), named Wendy. I built the car over the last few years for road course and my local regions SCCA AutoCross SOLO Racing. The car was built, modified, and is tuned by yours truly. Its a blast to drive on a track. Full coilover suspension, wide sticky tires, 25psi from a 20g turbo, and 5 gears to rip through.

    Yes, thats wifey riding shotgun.

Last year has been my best so far. I took an FTD (Fastest Time of the Day) and came in 2nd place running in the SM (Street Modified) Class for my region in 2014.

I had been DDing it until I found my Taco. Which was bittersweet, as she is a fun car to drive, but not exactly a daily commuter comfortable vehicle anymore. Shes loud, gutted, stiff, and is to easy to get in trouble with on my simple highway/backroad commute.

One of the things im most looking forward to it having a possible tow vehicle if Wendy where to have an issue at the track. I have always driven her to and from the track for events. Having my Taco now allows me to retune the car for some more power and really push her, without having to worry about making a drive home.
