Mudding would be so much more fun if it didn't involve cleaning.

It is a lot if fun to drive through or attempt to when its super sticky but cleaning it is a bitch unless you can get at it right away. I still have mud under my truck from Mormon Lake.

Thanks! We took my truck to Payson this time so I finally got to play. But I bottomed out a couple times on that path. Turns out, the 4th gen sits the lowest out of all 4runners. Of course it would..
    True.
Ha! I think my truck is permanently stained with that red dirt. Gonna hit it with the power washer today.

This thread is looking a little different since the last time I was here... anyway, I'm going to be back in AZ over break. A couple buddies and I are looking for a good trail/camping spot. We're mostly stock but not novices and know how to handle our vehicles (1st gen taco, 2nd gen Taco, 3rd gen 4runner). Any suggestions? Would prefer to be somewhere with at least juniper trees and not down in the desert.

Well your hubby has a great power washer to do so! I need to get over there to use it some time :)

Does your runner have the KDSS? Or just the XREAS?
Any plans to add a lift from King or ICON?

Well, there is no longer a question about my clutch going.... I have the towing bill to prove it.

AND now Amazon is saying the clutch that was suppose to be here today, won't be until tomorrow. I need to find one locally and get it fixed.

Yep! Sure, just let us know when.

XREAS. After this weekend I'm really considering a lift even tho I like the ride now. The plan was to pay off the truck first. I'm getting close so its time to start researching. Wish I knew more peeps with 4th gens..

That 10% off sale was a good deal. I know with the 5th gen a full King setup with TC UCAs was about 3200 from DSM. This is a system that works with KDSS. I'm curious what yours would cost.

I have no idea on what's fair pricing for truck stuff. Just like Colby I'm more experienced with lowered cars. Lol.
But so far, it seems I don't many options if I want to keep the XREAS. Colby found info on swapping the front with FJ coils and adding a small spacer. Otherwise I'll probably have to take out the whole system.

The X-Reas system has very little options for lift because you can't replace the shock. The most lift you can get is about 2 inches with the X-Reas system. That's adding FJ coil springs and 1/2 spacers.

Anything after that and you just have to pull out the entire X-Reas system. Which is what I would do if it were mine.

Yup. The system was setup for better cornering in the street and a more comfortable ride. That's what cars are for in my book.

That sucks doing the clutch is going to take a good solid 4hrs in & out, its easy just time consuming removing everything to get the trans out if you don't have a trans jack already I would buy one also you really should have the flywheel turned or replace it
