And IMO you get more bang for your buck with the Offroad vs the Sport

I think one thing that gets overlooked on the Sport vs Offroad debate is the brake master cylinder. The Offroad comes with an electronically assisted master cylinder whereas the Sport/SR5/etc. come with a vacuum boosted MC. After going from a Sport to an Offroad, I can say I've noticed a huge difference in braking feel with the OR cylinder that "feels" much beefier than the Sport.

When they say Auto has no ATRAC, MTS is just 5 positions of ATRAC. It's all the same system but the Auto gets a selector for MTS setting

I wanted the off-road (because of the awful roads I drive for work) but when I found out that I was one of the 5% that did not want an AT...I had to make-do with the Sport. My 2001 Taco (with just under 200K now) has the factory locker - Nice feature I used a couple of times battling snow - As for the suspension - I had an ARB bumper with 8000lb Warn so needed help in the front. Went with Old Man Emu all the way around. You can buy after-market and make major improvements to the Sport and have your MT too. When I reach the age that I have to have an automatic I'll be driving a Buick !

Forgive me, I don't quite understand all of the 4x4 phrases. I currently have a '10 DC Sport M/T 4WD. How does my current 4WD features compare to the '16 Sport m/t? I do go off-roading once a week, but it's not extreme off-roading. Steep terrain but a very worn down trail is what I drive on.

Your Sport pretty much has nothing but a transfer box that sends rotational energy to the front wheels.

He was asking about all the things we were talking about that come in the Off Road. He will get nothing but the transfer box

I am a Yankee vacationing in Canada and looking at the TRD Off-Road MT Access Cab on Toyota Canada's site. Absolute bullshit that I can't buy this configuration in USA, or even go up to Canada and buy it. I really fucking hate Toyota Corp.
