How's the seal? Have you done any water tests to see how much water gets into the bed?

Seal on the bed rails is perfect. When you open it you will find a little water collects on the rails and takes longer to dry. I poured a pitcher of water on the hinges and a little seeps through. Not enough to cause a drip unless you are getting countless hours of rainfall. Even then it is one drop every 10 or 15 seconds. I am actually in touch about warranty information already to see if this is normal or if they will give me a new one. Technically the site says weather resistant not waterproof. I am also looking into modifying the cover a little bit with gafing tape or rubber seals or weather stripping. I will probably create a new thread with what I find out and do.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, these tonneau cover companies are all pretty consistent in making sure they use "water resistant" and not waterproof in their marketing and I've seen many times that "all tonneaus leak". Some models (not sure about the Extang) have drain hoses from the tonneau to the drain holes in the bed, not sure if that keeps water out of the bed or just directs most of it away so there's less of it to get into the bed.

I Have the factory stainless tubes on mine, they are mounted almost up against the cab. not really of any use other than looks. If you actually stand on them you have to fold into the truck, stepping over them from the ground is about all my short legs can make. My question is does any one know of any longer mounts, that would make them a little more useful. The predator steps look lower, I may go with those...any suggestions ??

    Both of them are beautiful!

I have this two babies right now (actually one more Cyclocross back at home), and I have already made a factory order of 3rd gen Tacoma TRD OR. Can't wait to see it. And I am pretty sure that I will buy a DH bike for it.

PREDATORS ARE AWESOME!!! you could spend some serious $$$$ and get the power steps that fold down when the door opens. i have predators but im to tall to use them so i set over them.

Nice. Not sure how CA assigns our plates. Mine starts with a 8 but I got the same X1 on the end.

Yeah I just blew up the debonair on my 2016 nomad carbon. Wish the X2 came with a climb switch, that or easier LSC adjustment for climbs. My demo 8 has pretty much been retired to Whistler only duty, these new AM bikes can do pretty much anything.

Most of this was done over the past few days. Finally had a week off from work and had to do some basic things to get my Taco looking a little more me. Please note, I am a huge self admitted nerd... love Warcraft been playing for 10 years, so it is a big part of who I am.

Here's what I've done SO far in order...

The Bed-lights and what you can't see is a security bar, both courtesy the great work of @mattgecko Love how it makes the bed look and being able to soon take it out camping will be a plus!
Thats Roshak there, checking out the bed before he had a more suitable home to ride in.

Bed side stickers are now on, these are courtesy @ruggedT - we have also a window sticker that will eventually find it's way up on the truck. Just need more time and I have changed my mind on it's color... so we'll be in touch for that =)

LED interior lights have been updated, along with the rear plate lights. Love the improvement the lights made.

Updated my image off picture on the head unit. More Warlock fun. =)

Never used Plasti-Dip before, but read a lot on here. It seemed simple, fun and cheap (like my prom date) so I thought I would horse around with it and ended up derping my rear tailgate, emblems and grill... no more braces!

My 3" nerf bars are on order... can't arrive soon enough. I plan on an Extang Solid Fold 2.0, bed mat, OEM roof rack and AVS Rain guards.

If you're still reading and looking thanks to all who've provided items, ideas and the inspiration. This forum has been awesome to be a part of so far.IMG_20151121_174447.jpg Ro in Bed.jpg IMG_20151201_120900.jpg IMG_20151121_175544.jpg IMG_20151130_083559.jpg IMG_20151130_083620.jpg IMG_20151130_130118.jpg IMG_20151130_142721.jpg

Looks good. I'm on the fence to wait for the Bakflip Rollbak or this one.
