wondering if my leafs are shot. Truck rides super rough. Looks like some kind of aftermarket lead pack. Can't tell what kind. Guy over loaded it a lot. Tuck rides super rough in back. Took shock off and compressed. Seems to come up nice.

OME up front, Dakar in the back, Elite front bumper, Warn winch, Tactical rear bumper with tire swing/jerry cans/hi lift, Revenge Fab. sliders, Tundra brakes, Camburg UCA's, Safari Snorkle, FJ TRD wheels, Lights, CB, Switches, skids, LED's... OH MY!
would want to see what it looks like unloaded... but with all that in the back and it not even sagging I would say they are fine. probably rides rough because they are so stiff which is what is allowing your truck to take all that weight so well

I would start by removing one or even 2 of the smallest leafs (leave the overload).

Yeah maybe I'll try that. Your right about it not sagging with that much weight. I am unsure if my leafs are ome or all pro. Can't see any numbers.

Prolly not ome springs, they have a double overload leaf setup. Dosent mean the PO just didnt utilize them though, but i doubt it.. could be allpro, but there a several other brands they could be really...

Are there six leaves not including the bottom overload?

At any rate though i wouldnt say they are shot by anymeans! They seem to be pretty healthy by the looks of the capacity as pointed out the others.

looks like the shock is riding on the brake cable and doesn't seem to be straight up and down. unless my eye are seeing things.

Keep in mind that those lucky Canadians got enough leaf springs to use the truck as a truck. US trucks only have 3-4 leafs in the pack due to North Americans wanting trucks to ride more like cars.

    Yeah, that may be it.

yeah, it rides rough because of how many leafs there are. if you wan't smooth, downgrade your leafs to some american style dorman or something like that.

You need to choose do you want a soft car like ride or do you want the load carrying capacity of the truck??

The more weight capacity the rougher the unladen weight.

If you want the soft ride you should have gone with a 4Runner
