    Super tiny loss on acceleration.
    Braking distance slightly shortened.
    All virtually unnoticable.

    The ride is very smooth.
I haven't hit any offroad trails yet... but it's handling Brooklyn's potholes and warped cobblestone streets like a champ.

Really aiming for the bang for my buck option which leads me to the 5100 885 Amal set up. Would love to go icon stage one. But that's some coin. My issue is I just put on 265/75/16 coopers. Was forced to, due to a screw in the tire... Had to upgrade before I was ready.
I don't want to look like I skip leg day with my 265's vs. most guys running 285's. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Headstrong seems to have the best price for the kit....
Any advice, ideas, insight is appreciated. Trying to be nice to my wallet. I'm a teacher and paying off student loans. Therefore thin wallet...

265/75r16 is a great size. 285's look good but too much tire for these trucks IMO.

You can always upgrade in prices. Shocks now, rear springs later, when you donlarger tires.

That said, 5100s or OME coil overs are very popular around here, I think there is a reason for this :)

285s are great, I'm certainly not getting rid of mine anytime soon, but the gyrations required to make them work are a pain in the ass.

Makes me think a lift with the 265's isnt going to look good.

There's a lot of trucks on here running a 3" lift with 265s. There's at least a few threads specifically created to show that look. Search it to see what you think. Personally, I think 285s look better, but there a lot of badass trucks on here with 265s.

See if you can sell your new tires back to the shop, or on craigslist or something! You'll definitely lose a little, but you might not lose much. I sold my hankook dynapro atms after 10k miles for $100 per tire to the dealership, and they were like $120 each new! I knew I wanted 3 inches of lift and also knew that I wouldn't like the 265s, so I did what I had to. So glad I did. Better to lose a bit of cash, but end up with something you're happy with!

Amen! I had 265 KO2s before my lift. Paid $612 for em plus install. Rode them for 5k miles and bought 285s for $712 after my lift... Put the 265s on CL for $600, thinking I'd sell them for $500. Ended up getting the full $600! Not a bad deal on my end!!!

Yeah as long as they are in good shape you should be able to get most of your money back...plus you end up with the setup you really want! Win win

I seriously love my K02 285's with a 3inch lift. It's super flush with the truck and gives it a more aggressive look.
You will most likely get some rubbing when in reverse and wheel fully locked... but with a little plastic trimming on the inner front fender you are gold.

    However
it's all about your wheels/backspacing. I got the TRD Beadlocks/Icon Stage 3 because I knew this set up would work.
Also I like to offroad... but I am not doing any rock crawling. If I wanted to take full advantage of my ICONs I would need a high clearance front bumper.
