2.4 turbo diesel HILUX power issue

    05 Tacoma 2.7 5spd SR5 4x4
    ABS switch, tailgate lock, factory fogs, tonnopro loroll, icharger aux cable, 10mm hex oil plug swaps
    My family has a 97 4door hilux with a 2.4TD and recently the CEL comes on and it limits the power to under 2K rpms. Then it randomly pops back up again. We are on a small caribean island and not many helpful mechanics around. Any help in the right direction would be great! Thanks

    I wished I could help but unfortunately we don't have the luxury of having the Hilux in the USA. There has been rumor of Toyota bringing the diesel to the Tacoma though. I hope they do!!
