Happy owner of 2016 DCSB sport. 674 miles on it. So far no major issues. 19.8 MPG. Today while having my truck get its state inspection sticker at my dealer they installed a set of OEM black 5" oval nerf bars they owed me. On my way home at around 45MPH. I noticed I new wind noise I never heard before. Rolled down my window and was coming from the front area of the new nerf bars. I checked, they appear to be installed correctly, all caps and plugs present. It's not horrible noise but noticeable. Anybody else have this issue? Fixes? Thinking maybe when I put mud flaps on the aerodynamics will change and it will stop. Just curious if this only happened to me. Happy motoring

Congrats on the new truck and welcome to TacomaWorld.

The noise you are hearing is normal and will increase in pitch as you get closer to 88mph and the flux capacitor kicks in ...LOL ... JK.

I have the TRD OR model and I never noticed any sounds with my boards on.

There are a few other threads of people mentioning road noise, but I think you are the first with nerf bars.

Maybe mud flaps would make a difference. Maybe a passenger can verify the sound on the other side as reasoning says it should be there also.
