So yesterday I took my taco in for a oil change at ntb, ive done it before and for 20 bucks I get my oil changed and tires rotated, so its a pretty good deal.

I had an appointment for 1230, which is very important to do otherwise you will be waiting for a few hours, it only took them 30 mins, so far everything is good, now when I left NTB I thought I heard a noise coming from the engine compartment, but it went away so I thought nothing of it.

So this morning I start my truck for work and I hear this Whuuring sound, I was like what could that be, I thought the engine was cold and it was rather cold this morning so maybe it will go away, well it did not, so once I got to work I opened the hood and the IDIOTS forgot to take the bottle of oil out and it was sitting on right under where the oil filter goes, there was a hold in the bottom from the belts running on it which im sure caused a little oil to run all over the belt, and to top it off they used 0W 20...something I have never used in my truck before, so is that safe? and should I go back to NTB and ask for a new Belt because it might be contaminated with oil on it now.

I guess you could go talk to the manager there. That is just another reason I don't like other people working on my vehicles.

Boy, that's hard to believe that a grease monkey making minimum wage messed up your $20 oil change during a normal person's lunch break. I'd learn how to dodge bullets a little better - and start by NOT letting National Tire & Battery replace your oil soaked belt.

Funny thing is 5.5 quarts of the wrong oil (Ow-20 synthetic) and a filter cost more than $20, not to mention the time it takes to rotate tires. They lost money and you're unhappy. Well played!

Thanks for the kind remarks...NOT anyways I went down and talked to the manager, he was super friendly and apologized a bunch of times, told me to take it to a toyota dealer and have the part replaced and he will pay for it all. the oil was 5w30 that was put into my truck at least that was on the paper work, but to be on the safe side im having the toyota tech do another fresh oil change.
