    Hi all -

Sorry if this is the wrong spot for this. I have a 2010 Tacoma with the OEM factory roof racks (the type that can be neatly folded out of the way when not in use). However I'm unhappy with the lack of "options" this provides. I've been scoping out some of the nice ARB roof baskets and would like to add one of those to the truck, but I don't want to remove the OEM racks. I saw a truck the other day that seemed to have some kind of Thule or Yakima adapter (can't remember) with a roof basket attached via the adapter to the OEM racks. Any idea what this is / where I can get it / other recommendations?

I'd like to be able to put sand tracks, jerry cans, and the spare up there if possible - and am considering an LED bar on the front of it too.

    Thanks!
    Ian

In your research you'll find the weight limit of the OEM rack limits your options. So even if you add a basket there's little room left for putting anything in it from a maximum weight perspective.

That is why many members here go with an aftermarket rack that bolts right to the roof. They are versatile and more functional.

What he said but if you must know, a Yakima Loadwarrior / Rola Vortex with the extensions fit. My picks would be Prinsu on this forum, Frontrunner outfitters and Bajarack
