Hey guys, I know there is a good search function and I don't want to annoy people, but certain conversations I learn most from when the original question is in the context of my inquiry and follow-up questions.

I already have the Step Bar/Slider thread going but now I am thinking about lifting or perhaps just different shocks to bring me up a touch higher.

I am not the type pf person who typically does much (if anything) in the way of mods, as I like a more stock look and with lifts, I worry about messing with well throught out steering geometry and straing on front end 4x4 components.

Can I get away with gaining an inche with a simple shock swap? or maybe shocks and taller tires? Is it even worth it? I just want to avoid any real damage, such as I came close to doing today, without a major custom job on the truck.

One, it takes money from my shooting hobby (God bless the 2nd amendment!). Second, I am starting the process of buying my own business. An established, exclusive insurnace agency to be precise. A very time and $$$$ consuming proposition. I have been in the business a long time and now its time for my own agency. So needless to say, a lot of my "fun funds" have been voluntarily self-frozen lol.
